Does U3 contain any viruses and is it safe?
I have just bought a new San disk Cruiser micro 8GB USB Flash Drive and I have got the new U3 Software on it. I am not sure if it is safe and if it contains any viruses. Also, do any of the downloads contain any viruses because when you download an application for U3 is takes you to the U3 website and when you click download it takes you to rapid share which i really don’t like. Is it safe?
U3 software is used to run programs directly from the stick.
The software itself is safe.
About the applications:
Rule is, when you don’t trust it, don’t download it.
But it might be a user upload, or just the site hosting all their files on rapidshare.
Scan it with free antivirus software, if you want some reliability.
